Day 1 - Your Italian Journey Begins
Depart the United States for Italy, settling in for an overnight flight filled with anticipation for the adventure ahead.
Day 2 - Rome’s Icons & Your First Night in Italy
Arrive in Rome and begin your journey with a private airport transfer into the city. Enjoy lunch in Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s most iconic squares, before exploring highlights like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Spanish Steps on a guided golf cart tour. Afterward, check into your boutique hotel, unwind, and end the day with a cozy dinner along a charming Roman side street.
Day 3 - Rome & Umbrian Serenity
Begin your day in Rome with breakfast before a guided tour of Vatican City, including the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. After lunch, visit the Colosseum before traveling through the countryside to Umbria. Upon arrival in Montone, check into your hotel, unwind, and enjoy a welcome dinner with regional cuisine and local wines.
Day 4 - Assisi & Umbrian Hot Air Balloon Ride
Begin your day with a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Umbrian countryside, followed by a winery breakfast and tasting. Then travel to Assisi for a guided tour of the Basilica of St. Francis, enjoy lunch with valley views, and visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Return to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon before ending the day with a festive barbecue dinner under the stars.
Day 5 - Deruta, Perugia & Signature Experiences
Start your day with breakfast before heading to Deruta for an immersive visit to a traditional ceramics studio, where you’ll watch artisans craft hand-painted pottery. Continue on to Perugia for a relaxed lunch featuring local Umbrian specialties, followed by free time to explore the city’s historic streets at your own pace. In the evening, return to Montone to unwind before gathering for a casual regional dinner at L’Antica Osteria.
Day 6 - A Grand Day in Montone
Begin the day with a guided truffle hunt through the Umbrian countryside with expert hunters and their dogs, followed by a vineyard picnic with local flavors. After a leisurely afternoon at your own pace, enjoy a hands-on Italian cooking class led by a local chef. End the day savoring the meal you prepared, surrounded by great food, culture, and connection.
Day 7 - Siena, Cortona & Montone
Travel into Tuscany for a day of culture and charm, beginning with a guided exploration of Siena’s medieval streets and iconic Piazza del Campo. After enjoying a traditional Tuscan lunch, continue to the picturesque hilltown of Cortona, where you’ll stroll its cobblestone streets and savor a refreshing gelato. Later, return to Montone and end the day with a lively evening of drinks and light bites, soaking in the local atmosphere.
Day 8 - Guided Wine Cellar Tour & Umbrian Experiences
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Montone, whether at the spa or exploring the countryside, before visiting Cantina Blasi for a guided wine cellar tour. Savor a wine-paired lunch with regional flavors, then spend the afternoon at leisure soaking in Umbria’s beauty. End the day with a casual dinner in Montone’s charming piazza.
Day 9 - Florence & Farewell Dinner
After breakfast, depart for Florence, stopping at Piazzale Michelangelo to take in sweeping panoramic views of the city. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour featuring iconic landmarks such as the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s David. After checking into your boutique hotel and enjoying some time to relax or explore at your own pace, conclude your journey with a memorable farewell dinner in the heart of Florence.
Day 10 - Return Home With Memories
Depart early in the morning with a private transfer from your hotel to Florence Airport, bringing your journey to a close as you head home with unforgettable memories of Italy.
